FOR Babylist Director, Product Management, Registry

I build the two-sided commerce experiences that turn visitors into registries, and registries into revenue.

15+ years scaling consumer and e-commerce products; 5+ leading product orgs of 60+ through layers of management. And a rarer second seat: I still ship AI-native prototypes myself, taking an idea to a working product in days, not quarters.

A Registry point of view, offered as hypotheses

Registry is the center of gravity. Here’s where I’d look for the next step-change.

Registry is a two-sided marketplace: a registrant and a gift-giver on the same list, each with a different job to do. For Babylist, the next step-change lives in the seams between them. I’d arrive with hypotheses, not answers. Here are three I’d pressure-test first, each written as an experiment I could stand up in days.

REGISTRANT
Acquisition Registry creation Completion
↓  ONE SHARED REGISTRY  ↓
GIFT-GIVER
Discover Convert to purchase Come back & shop
H1 · ACQUISITION & CREATION

New registrants who add their first item from outside the Babylist Shop early on build fuller registries, because “add anything from any store” is the reason to choose Babylist.

Test. An onboarding variant that surfaces the browser button and a cross-store starter set on day one, held against the current flow.
Watch. 7-day completion rate and items per registry.
H2 · GIFT-GIVER CONVERSION

High-intent gift-givers leak to the original retailer at checkout, so cutting decision friction should keep more purchases inside the Babylist Shop.

Test. Session-replay the biggest drop-off, then A/B a “help me choose” and group-gift nudge.
Watch. Share of gifts completed in-Shop, and average gift value.
H3 · RETENTION & LTV

The registry ends at the shower, but the family keeps buying, so a post-birth “what’s next” nudge should turn one event into repeat revenue.

Test. A lifecycle prototype that reorders consumables around the due date, treatment vs. holdout.
Watch. 60-day repeat-purchase rate and post-birth GMV.
MY FIRST MOVE TO VALIDATE Build the smallest real version, put it in front of actual registrants and gift-givers, and let the numbers decide which bets are worth scaling.

NutrAssist · Co-Founder & Head of Product 2024–Present

A 0→1 consumer AI app, shipped end-to-end as a player-coach.

Problem

Families can’t tell at a glance whether a food fits every household member’s needs.

Approach

Built the LLM- and vision-powered scan-to-score experience myself with agentic AI (Claude Code): concept to a functional MVP, with no standing engineering team.

Outcome

A working consumer PWA, now in beta with about 250 users, friends, family, and colleagues gathered along the way. Roughly 75% are still active as I validate willingness-to-pay ahead of public launch.

An LLM sales tool, adopted company-wide.

Designed the UI flow and value narrative for Spot, an LLM-powered sales tool now used across the entire company, all 350 employees, at roughly 12¢ per brief. I also serve as the firm’s AI ambassador, embedding AI-native ways of building across product teams.

Beam Dental · Senior Product Manager

A two-sided onboarding motion that opened a new revenue channel.

Consumer insurtech: a connected smart-toothbrush and app tied to dental-insurance pricing. Launched partner onboarding for both sides (consumers and benefits platforms), bringing new employee-benefits platforms online to distribute Beam Insurance.

Launch by NTT Data · Director of Product 2020–2025

Led a 60+ person product org as a player-coach, through layers of leadership.

Promoted from Consulting Manager. Served consumer, fintech, and SaaS across B2C, D2C, and B2B2C, hiring, coaching, and leveling 60+ PMs, owners, and scrum masters, and building teams that outperformed.

As executive escalation point I owned strategy for the firm’s largest account and shipped a hospital iPad application for HCA, one of our largest clients, deployed across both the US and the UK. I set the quality bar and now/next/later roadmaps, and drove go-to-market taking consumer and marketplace products from concept to launch.

AI-native, in the daily workflow

Idea to working prototype, in days not quarters.

AI isn’t an experiment in how I work. It’s the default. I decompose problems to get high-quality outputs, prototype ideas myself, query data directly, and ship agentic, LLM-powered products. Not just reviewing the work: building it, then leading the team that scales it.
